Welcome to the Illinois District!
You could feel at home here. From the rolling hills and woodlands of southern Illinois to the broad plains of our northern border, the Illinois District comprises the southern half of our state. We are home to the world-class University of Illinois, the growing Metro-East side of St. Louis and more warm-hearted small towns than you can imagine.
You could find fellowship here. We have 90 Churches of the Nazarene of nearly all sizes with one passion: to love and reach people for Jesus Christ. There is nothing like a loving church family that aspires to include new folks and help mature all who attend. Our pastors and laity desire to create a place for inclusiveness, biblical preaching and great potluck dinners.
You could do ministry here. Our mission statement is "Developing healthy, multiplying, holiness churches and pastors." This is who we are because of the Great Commission and Great Commandment. This is what we do because of the limitless opportunities for service. We clearly believe that engagement in ministry of some kind is necessary for true disciples.
